Job summary

BIMM is seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer on contract to join our Toronto-based team. You will work in a hybrid model, in the office 2 days per week, helping modernize a large Rails 8 application that serves high-traffic sites and acts as an integration hub.

The role emphasizes server-rendered HTML, security-conscious development, and cross-team collaboration within a 50+ person Technology department. You will contribute to CMS, APIs, and integrations for a major media client.

Qualifications

• Strong Rails development experience with a focus on server-rendered HTML and Rails 8+ features.
• Ability to work in a distributed team across time zones and communicate proactively.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend features across a Rails 8 monolith (models, controllers, background jobs, server-rendered views).
• Implement interactive front-end behavior using Hotwire and Stimulus, styled with Tailwind CSS.
