Peoples Group is seeking a senior software engineer specializing in automation to lead scalable RPA initiatives from Calgary. You will design resilient automations with UiPath and Power Automate, drive API-first integrations, and champion SDLC rigor across the enterprise.

Join a hybrid, Canada-wide team that partners with PMs, QA, DevOps and stakeholders to deliver production-grade automation while mentoring junior developers and advancing observability and governance practices.

Qualifications

• More than 7 years of software engineering experience.
• Cloud-native architecture experience mandatory.
• Experience improving SDLC and mentoring.
• Banking/fintech experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to build scalable, reliable systems.
• 4+ years in Robotic Process Automation design/delivery.
• Experience with UiPath or Power Automate.
• Experience promoting bots across environments and observing QA processes.
• Observability and monitoring embedded in development.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build resilient automations using UiPath and Power Automate.
• Prioritize API-first integrations and robust error handling.
• Create SDDs with SLAs and metrics.
• Drive governance and code quality across projects.
• Lead code reviews and mentor developers in RPA best practices.
• Develop reusable component libraries for faster delivery.
• Implement release management and CI/CD for RPA artifacts.
• Collaborate with PMs, PO, DevOps and stakeholders.
