Doane Grant Thornton LLP in Toronto seeks a Manager, Restructuring to oversee complex corporate restructuring engagements. You will manage a professional team, interact with creditors and debtors, and drive client-focused solutions with strong financial oversight.

The role emphasizes leadership, negotiation, and adherence to professional ethics, with opportunities to expand the firm’s network across bankers, lawyers, and regulators.

Formación

• 3+ years of advisory experience in a Canadian professional services firm, leading and conducting complex corporate restructuring and insolvency proceedings.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree; professional accounting designation (CPA, CFA).
• Enrollment in CIRP Qualification Program in preparation to obtain LIT.

Responsabilidades

• Service Delivery: manage a complex corporate restructuring portfolio and oversee a professional, technical, and administrative team.
• Evaluate complex business issues and formulate recommendations for Court and stakeholders to maximize creditor recoveries.
• Stakeholder communication and negotiation with diverse interests (creditors, debtors, lawyers, lenders).
• Financial Oversight: track project progress, milestones, invoices, payments, trust accounts, and disbursements summaries.
• Participate in professional, industry or community events and expand brand reach with bankers, lawyers, trustees, and other referrals.
