Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton in Toronto is seeking a Manager, Restructuring to lead complex corporate restructuring engagements, manage a professional and administrative team, and deliver strategic recommendations to clients and creditors.

You will build relationships with lawyers, regulators and lenders, develop client opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the Advisory practice while upholding the firm’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of advisory experience leading complex restructurings in a Canadian professional services firm.
• Insolvency expertise with knowledge of proceedings and client site experience.
• Strong financial reporting and KPI understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for Court and stakeholders.
• Active participation in professional or community events.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex corporate restructuring portfolio and oversee a professional team.
• Evaluate issues and formulate Court recommendations to maximize recoveries.
• Stakeholder communication with creditors, debtors, lawyers and lenders.
• Track progress, budgets, invoicing and trust accounts.
• Lead ad hoc projects using accounting skills and business acumen.
