Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join our Mining & Energy team, with preference for Reno, NV, but Vancouver, BC and Saskatoon, SK are encouraged to apply. You will develop geological models, estimate resources, and collaborate with engineers on global mining projects.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring, and advancing estimation practices while supporting client relationships and business growth across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in geology or related field.
• 3-5 years of mine geology experience within an operating environment.
• 5-7 years of resource modelling and domain estimation.
• 10+ years of total geology experience with a focus on resource work.
• Professional designation such as P.Geo./CPG and/or PG.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate geological and block models.
• Prepare mineral resource estimates and reporting per NI 43-101 and SK-1300.
• Collaborate with geology, mine planning, operations and engineering teams.
• Mentor junior geologists and improve resource estimation practices.
• Support business development and client relationships.
