Job summary

WSP's Mining and Metals team in Canada is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist to lead high‑impact geological modeling and mineral resource estimation across the full mine life cycle, from exploration through closure, while mentoring teams and building trusted client relationships.

You will collaborate across technical, legal, commercial, and environmental disciplines to deliver safe, resilient, and value-driven outcomes for projects in Canada and internationally, applying your deep expertise

Qualifications

• 15+ years of post-degree experience in resource geology.
• Proven leadership in mineral resource estimation and modeling.
• Registration as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Canada or eligible.
• Hands-on proficiency with Leapfrog, Datamine, Vulcan, and Isatis.
• Strong knowledge of global mining disclosure standards.
• Ability to act as Qualified/Competent Person for disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary geological studies from exploration to resource estimation.
• Direct geological modeling and resource estimation using Leapfrog, Datamine, Vulcan.
• Own the geology workstream for front-end studies (PEA, PFS, FS).
• Champion innovation in geostatistics and resource estimation approaches.
• Provide Qualified/Competent Person oversight for disclosures.
• Mentor junior geologists and support career growth.
• Collaborate across WSP PAN to share knowledge globally.
• Drive business growth and client engagement at senior levels.
• Embed risk management and safety in project delivery.
• Build enduring client relationships with trusted advisory.
