Description
Purpose
The Senior Research Analyst reports into the Manager, Customer Insights & Research. This role will lead the design, execution, and delivery of projects outlined in the annual Customer Insights plan, requiring a strong background in market research project design and delivery, as well as data analysis and interpretation.
Please note this is a 1 year fixed term position.
Key Areas of Accountability
External Research
- Work in tandem with external research vendors and partners in support of research goals.
- Support the business with ad-hoc research requests related to guests, partners, products, services, or the external environment.
- Review potential research opportunities and recommend the best design and execution to meet business goals.
- Prepare RFPs for external research requests and support vendor selection and onboarding.
- Collaborate with Analytics team members to supplement primary research with additional data sources.
- Identify opportunities to deliver quick insights that support informed decision-making across the business.
- Maintain the reputation of the research team as subject matter experts.
B2B Customer Insights Program
- Support the development of a B2B customer insights program to identify and alleviate pain points for trade partners.
- Lead cross-functional teams in customer journey mapping sessions.
- Deliver a comprehensive suite of survey reporting through PowerBI.
- Integrate B2B customer insights into the overarching Customer Insights program.
Continuous Improvement and Project Management
- Provide actionable insights and timely communications on projects with organizational impact.
- Leverage reporting tools to analyze survey data and empower stakeholders with self-serve dashboards.
- Explore processes to summarize key themes from large volumes of verbatim responses.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications / Licenses
- University degree in Business, Economics, or related subject. Market research qualification considered an asset.
Experience
- 5+ years in a market research role with progressive responsibility.
- Experience in both agency and client-side research roles.
- Familiarity with Customer Experience Measurement platforms such as Qualtrics.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PowerBI is an asset.
- Ability to deliver end-to-end research projects.
- Experience managing large-scale projects and meeting stakeholder needs.
- Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.

- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hybrid role with minimum 3 days work from office.
Compensation
- Base salary: $85,000 to $95,000 per annum, varying based on expertise, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
- Eligible for discretionary bonus program.
