Description

Purpose

The Senior Research Analyst reports into the Manager, Customer Insights & Research. This role will lead the design, execution, and delivery of projects outlined in the annual Customer Insights plan, requiring a strong background in market research project design and delivery, as well as data analysis and interpretation.

Please note this is a 1 year fixed term position.

Key Areas of Accountability
External Research
  1. Work in tandem with external research vendors and partners in support of research goals.
  2. Support the business with ad-hoc research requests related to guests, partners, products, services, or the external environment.
  3. Review potential research opportunities and recommend the best design and execution to meet business goals.
  4. Prepare RFPs for external research requests and support vendor selection and onboarding.
  5. Collaborate with Analytics team members to supplement primary research with additional data sources.
  6. Identify opportunities to deliver quick insights that support informed decision-making across the business.
  7. Maintain the reputation of the research team as subject matter experts.
B2B Customer Insights Program
  1. Support the development of a B2B customer insights program to identify and alleviate pain points for trade partners.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams in customer journey mapping sessions.
  3. Deliver a comprehensive suite of survey reporting through PowerBI.
  4. Integrate B2B customer insights into the overarching Customer Insights program.
Continuous Improvement and Project Management
  1. Provide actionable insights and timely communications on projects with organizational impact.
  2. Leverage reporting tools to analyze survey data and empower stakeholders with self-serve dashboards.
  3. Explore processes to summarize key themes from large volumes of verbatim responses.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications / Licenses
  1. University degree in Business, Economics, or related subject. Market research qualification considered an asset.
Experience
  1. 5+ years in a market research role with progressive responsibility.
  2. Experience in both agency and client-side research roles.
  3. Familiarity with Customer Experience Measurement platforms such as Qualtrics.
  4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PowerBI is an asset.
  5. Ability to deliver end-to-end research projects.
  6. Experience managing large-scale projects and meeting stakeholder needs.
  7. Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
Skills
  1. Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  2. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Proven analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
  5. Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Hybrid role with minimum 3 days work from office.
Compensation
  1. Base salary: $85,000 to $95,000 per annum, varying based on expertise, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
  2. Eligible for discretionary bonus program.
