Job summary

Fairstone Bank is seeking a Representative, Specialized Collections to join our Eden Park brand. You will provide exceptional service while pursuing collection targets on financial loans and collaborate with a team under defined policies.

The role supports a hybrid working model and benefits from a strong focus on customer outcomes. You will leverage skip tracing, credit bureau insights, and MS Office tools to contact past-due customers, negotiate arrangements, and document all interactions in

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
• Experience with skip tracing and using 411, social media, and credit bureau information.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with high-risk auto financing accounts.
• French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service while achieving results in collecting financial loans.
• Contact past-due customers to request and negotiate payment arrangements, and send correspondence.
• Follow company policies to maintain and coordinate firm payment recovery.
• Assess and mitigate risk by referring accounts for further action.
• Document all call activity in the Collections system, including commitments and amounts.
• Achieve individual collection targets to meet department and company goals.
• Complete other collection responsibilities as assigned.

About the role:

• Provide excellent service while ensuring exceptional results in the collection of financial loans.
• Contact past due customers through the appropriate channeling methods, request and negotiate payment arrangements within authorized limits, and send correspondence to collection customers.
• Use company-specific policies and procedures to maintain and coordinate firm payment recovery.
• Assess and mitigate risk by referring accounts for further action.
• Document all call activity details in the Collections system to reflect any action taken, e.g., commitments to pay and/or amounts and dates agreed upon.
• Achieve individual collection targets to meet Department and Company-wide goals.
• Complete other collection responsibilities, as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

• You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You are tech-savvy and know your way through Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
• You are experienced with skip tracing and familiar with using 411, social media, and the ability to understand credit bureaus.
• You have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with high-risk accounts in the auto financing industry.

EXTRA- AWESOME TO HAVE!

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or any other relevant studies.
• You have demonstrated work experience with sub-prime consumers.
• You speak French!

• Expected base salary range is $44,362.50 - $50,000.00.
