Job summary

FCC in Canada seeks a Senior Relationship Manager, Agriculture Commercial Financing to build trusted relationships with agricultural producers and tailor financing solutions to help them grow.

You will combine business development, portfolio management and industry expertise to identify opportunities, support customer growth and strengthen long-term relationships within the agriculture sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, commerce or a related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in ag finance, lending, credit analysis, business development or sales.
• Experience managing or supporting complex customer portfolios, including structuring financing solutions.
• Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills, including interpreting financial statements.
• Experience managing complex customer portfolios while balancing growth opportunities and risk management.
• Strong partnership and collaboration skills across teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Experience developing and executing business development or sales strategies.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel.
• Knowledge of agriculture, agribusiness or commercial operations, with genuine interest in supporting the agriculture industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusted relationships with customers, prospects and key industry partners across the agriculture industry.
• Grow and strengthen a portfolio through business development, lead generation and referral networks.
• Act as a strategic advisor, providing financial guidance and financing solutions to support customer success.
• Work with customers to build financing packages that meet their business needs.
• Be accountable for the execution of loans, including sales, loan structure, gathering and preparing financial documentation, securing approvals, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver financing.
• Lead complex lending solutions, including advanced financial analysis and credit risk assessment, coordinating with internal teams to deliver outcomes.
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting consistency and excellence.
• Build relationships with FCC customers and internal partners.
• Identify opportunities to build your loan portfolio.
• Travel to customer operations to understand their business and provide tailored advice.
• Be a visible and trusted presence within the agriculture community by building relationships with producers, industry leaders, advisors and centres of influence across the region.

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, commerce or a related field
• Minimum four years of experience in ag finance, lending, credit analysis, business development or sales (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience managing or supporting complex customer portfolios, including structuring financing solutions
• Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills, including interpreting financial statements and developing lending recommendations
• Experience managing complex customer portfolios while balancing growth opportunities and risk management considerations
• Strong partnership and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
• Experience developing and executing business development or sales strategies
• Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel
• Knowledge of agriculture, agribusiness or commercial operations, with a genuine interest in supporting the agriculture industry

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with complex agricultural or commercial businesses
• Customer service or advisory experience within a financial services environment
• Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset
