Job summary

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is hiring a Casual Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in Mississauga. You will support the supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in residential care and help deliver safe, effective group exercise sessions.

The role requires a PTA/OTA diploma or a degree in Kinesiology or a related healthcare field, with LTC experience being an asset. A current Vulnerable Sector screening and TB clearance are required.

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or related healthcare background.
• LTC experience is an asset.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening within 6 months.
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in residential care.
• Perform treatments including gait training, balance, ROM, strengthening and modalities such as heat/ice/ultrasound/TENS.
• Deliver dynamic, safe group exercise classes for residents.
• Set up equipment and clean up after treatments.
• Ensure resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
• Record daily treatments in the facility's web-based system.
