Job summary

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Physiotherapy Assistant in Ontario to support residents in long-term care communities. The role involves assisting the supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans, delivering group exercise, and ensuring safe, well-equipped treatment spaces.

Qualifications include a PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or a related healthcare field, with a valid Vulnerable Sector screening and TB clearance. Prior LTC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or related healthcare field.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening within 6 months.
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in LTC communities.
• Perform gait training, balance, transfer training, ROM and strengthening, and modality applications.
• Deliver dynamic exercise classes for groups of residents.
• Set up equipment and clean treatment areas.
• Maintain safe, tidy resident gym and treatment spaces.
• Communicate changes or concerns about residents to the physiotherapist.
• Record daily treatments in Seniors Wellness' web-based system.

Education
