Job summary

Bridgewater Bank seeks a Senior Recovery Specialist to guide complex mortgage recoveries, foreclosures, and loss-mitigation efforts. You’ll work with borrowers, counsel, insurers, and internal partners to mitigate losses while protecting security interests.

Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in mortgage recoveries and related fields.
  • Experience with mortgage insurers, law firms, adjusters, builders, realtors, appraisers, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of mortgage documentation, title matters, and security registration.

Responsibilities

  • Administer insurance claims where the Bank's security has been affected by property loss, ensuring proper use of insurance proceeds.
  • Collaborate with customers, adjusters, builders, solicitors, and others to support repairs and claim resolution.
  • Review maturing mortgage accounts to assess risk, renewal eligibility, and terms.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for non-renewal situations with clear customer communications.
  • Contribute to evolving recovery policies and procedures to meet regulatory changes.
  • Manage legal recovery files from initiation through final resolution, including foreclosures.
  • Coordinate legal action with external counsel and facilitate property sales or transfers to insurers.
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate losses by managing legal costs and protecting collateral.
  • Perform loss provisioning assessments and provide insights into recovery outcomes and potential losses.
