Job summary

AMA Insurance, part of the Alberta Motor Association, is seeking a Manager, Finance – Insurance Services to lead a finance team and deliver IFRS-compliant reporting, controls and forecasts. You’ll translate complex numbers into clear business insights for senior leaders and shape financial processes across Insurance Services.

You will develop people, drive collaboration across functions, ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence, and partner with the Controller to support strategic plans and risk

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Business.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA).
• Minimum seven years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility.
• Preferably two to five years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with IFRS and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of accurate, timely financial statements and management reports in IFRS.
• Coordinate consolidation, variance analysis and insights into results.
• Support period-end, audits and external reporting.
• Develop and refine accounting controls and policies; strengthen risk management.
• Monitor performance and provide financial insights to support strategic plans.
