Fengate Asset Management seeks a Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate (Hybrid – FP&A / Reporting) to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for segregated funds, focusing on Canadian residential, resort operations, and US hotel assets.

The role collaborates with Finance, FP&A, Developments, Investments, and external consultants, with a base pay range of $85,000–$100,000 and a flexible Work-Flex policy permitting up to two remote days per week.

Formación

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant technical discipline.
• CPA designation, with 3+ years of relevant experience in the industry
• Experience with working in the real estate or asset management space is preferred
• Strong Excel modelling skills, ability to construct professional PowerPoint presentations
• Experience and interest in leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, research, and workflow efficiency.
• Solid understanding of statement of earnings, balance sheet, cash flows, IRR, ROIC, etc.
• Genuinely curious with a desire to understand key metrics and drivers
• Strong customer focus with excellent relationship building and a collaborative working style
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to handle competing deliverables, with accurate/timely delivery under tight timelines

Responsabilidades

• Support investments team to maintain models to project performance metrics such as cash flow, operating returns, IRR, ROIC, MOIC, NPV, etc.
• Calculate quarterly and annual fund returns using IRR and weighted capital
• Assist with year-end valuation process by co-ordinating with external appraiser and critically assessing assumption used in appraisal
• Prepare monthly accounting entries and bank reconciliations for segregated funds
• Preparation and review of quarterly financial statements for internal management and investors
• Assist with year-end audit process through the preparation of audit working papers
• Work closely with accounting teams of joint ventures to co-ordinate and compile support for investment models, quarterly reporting, cash management, development draw requests, debt covenants and other ad-hoc requests
• Preparation of quarterly fund reports for internal management and investors
• Work closely with banks to secure financing and perform other treasury functions
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements across different areas of scope
