Fengate Asset Management invites a Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate (Hybrid – FP&A / Reporting) to join the Finance team in Toronto or Oakville. You will support financial planning and analysis for residential real estate and US hotel operations, collaborating with Finance, FP&A, Developments, Investments, and third-party consultants.

The role requires a CPA designation with 3+ years in real estate or asset management, strong Excel modelling, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA designation with 3+ years of experience in the industry.
• Experience in real estate or asset management preferred.
• Strong Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Experience with AI-powered tools to enhance analysis, reporting, and workflow.
• Solid understanding of earnings, balance sheet, cash flows, IRR, ROIC, and MOIC.
• Curiosity with a drive to understand key metrics and drivers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Maintain models to project cash flow, operating returns, IRR, ROIC, MOIC, NPV, etc.
• Compute quarterly and annual fund returns using IRR and weighted capital.
• Assist with year-end valuation by coordinating with external appraiser and assessing assumptions.
• Prepare monthly accounting entries and bank reconciliations for segregated funds.
• Prepare and review quarterly financial statements for internal management and investors.
• Assist with year-end audit through audit working papers.
• Coordinate with JV accounting teams for investment models and reporting.
• Prepare quarterly fund reports for management and investors.
• Collaborate with banks to secure financing and manage treasury functions.
• Identify and implement process improvements across scope areas.
