Job summary

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related technical discipline.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams, supplier quality, audits and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead automotive quality programs from launch to production.
• Coordinate with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
• Apply 8D/7D/5 Why methodologies and manage CAPA programs.
• Prepare technical quality reports and present to management.

Job Responsibilities

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Educational Requirements: University degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline; an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and extensive automotive quality experience may be considered.

Minimum Experience: Five to eight years of progressive automotive manufacturing quality experience, including program launch, direct customer contact and leadership of complex quality issues.

Knowledge Required: Advanced knowledge of IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, capability analysis, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, metrology, customer-specific requirements and structured problem-solving methods including 8D, 7D, 5 Why, PRR and QPR.

Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio; ability to analyze quality data and prepare clear technical reports and management presentations.

Additional Certificates/Diplomas: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, IATF 16949 Internal Auditor, VDA 6.3, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, and AIAG Core Tools training are preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to customers, suppliers, shop-floor personnel and senior management.

Additional Education/Experience: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, customer escalations, audits, corrective actions, supplier quality improvement and the mentoring of quality personnel.
