Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead engineering programs in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on cost, delivery, supplier and customer coordination, and cross‑functional leadership to drive successful program execution.

Requirements include a university degree in engineering and 3–5 years of related experience with GD&T, moulding processes (RIM, TPO, EPP), and strong communication skills. Travel and a valid passport are expected.

  • Moulding processes knowledge (RIM, TPO, EPP) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of tool construction is an asset.
  • Ability to read part drawings.

  • Willingness to travel; valid passport and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of program builds including cost, delivery, suppliers, customers, internal production and engineering changes.
  • Lead APQP activities including PDP & TraX, gate reviews, CFTs, ECN system, and PPAP documentation.
  • Coordinate communication regarding program information between departments.
  • Meet and manage program budget and ensure on-time delivery of major programs.
  • Validate designs through DV/PV testing and assembly trials; support design decisions.
  • Travel to supplier and customer sites as required.

Job Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB

Immediate, open position $90,000 - $125,000 annual compensation Completion of university degree in engineering or a related field required 3-5 year’s of related experience managing programs in a production/manufacturing environment required Previous experience with GD&T required Strong moulding process knowledge (RIM, TPO, EPP) an asset Knowledge of tool construction is an asset Ability to read part drawings Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Self-starter and willing to take on new challenges Effective organization skills and ability to manage a heavy workload Problem solving and decision‑making skills to deal with issues as they arise Negotiation/persuasion skills Ability to handle difficult situations professionally Regular travel required. Valid passport and driver’s license required Must have a proven performance, safety and attendance record not less than 6 months in current role

MAIN DUTIES

Manages all aspects of program builds including cost, delivery, suppliers, customers, internal production and engineering changes Conducts APQP activities including PDP & TraX, customer systems, internal documentation, maintaining PDP folders, gate reviews, CFTs, ECN system, and PPAP Coordinates communication regarding program information between departments Ability to meet/manage Program Budget (on average, $10, 000, 000) Troubleshoots customer assembly plant issues Validates designs through DV /PV testing, assembly trials and ergo studies Participates in design decision making (feasibility, functionality, manufacturing ability) Supports quoting of new business and assists with defining process requirements Creates and presents quality and/or design issues and resolutions to customers Manages build inventories with the production team Other duties as assigned
