Job summary

CGL is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to lead testing efforts within our IT-Solutions Delivery team. You will ensure quality across P/C insurance products, including Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, with a focus on automation and robust risk assessment.

Join a hybrid environment with 2 days in the office, and leverage extensive QA expertise to improve coverage and efficiency while maintaining strong collaboration with developers and analysts.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science plus 5+ years of systems testing experience.
• Solid understanding of insurance principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Create test strategies for various projects.
• Plan system and user acceptance testing.
• Execute system and user acceptance testing according to plans.
• Coordinate and manage resolution of problems encountered in testing for medium-to-large projects, working with developers and analysts.
• Create and maintain test case documentation, recording problems encountered during testing.

• Perform workflow analysis of testing procedures and recommend quality improvements.

Under direct supervision, the Sr Quality Assurance Analyst carries out established procedures to ensure programs/projects meet minimum company standards and end user requirements. Under general direction, the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst carries out procedures to ensure that IT products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. The incumbent conducts thoroughly quality assurance tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. As the third level in the Quality Assurance job stream, the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst provides functional guidance to less experienced team members.

Technologies you have experience with:

• Deep expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and proven leadership in Quality Assurance, including managing complex testing initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
• Experience in leveraging or running automated testing as part of overall testing efforts to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Experience implementing and working with AI-assisted testing tools.

• Solid understanding of insurance principles and practices.
• Guidewire Cloud certification and ISTQB designation are strong assets.

Expected salary range $72,847 to $121,411

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
