Job summary

Raise is hiring on behalf of our client for a Senior Functional Analyst - QA in Calgary. The role focuses on implementing and operating the Enspire application suite for market settlement and price validation, bridging business needs with delivery.

You will lead QA activities, gather requirements, and support the product lifecycle from implementation to post-launch enhancements within an energy market context.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA, business analysis or related technical experience.
• Strong system architecture, APIs and data integration knowledge.
• Proficient in data analysis with SQL/Excel and scripting (JavaScript, Python).
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery models and backlog management.
• Nice-to-haves: energy market sector experience and post-implementation product team work.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance leadership: create and run test plans, cases, and UAT/SIT; drive root cause analysis.
• Gather and map business requirements; translate to functional specs and process diagrams.
• Manage epics, user stories, and backlogs in Azure DevOps; support SCRUM ceremonies.
• Validate vendor design documents against core business needs.
• Support operations, change management, training and post-implementation enhancements.
