Job summary

CIRO in Toronto, ON,is seeking a BA/QA Tester to migrate an outdated VB application to Power Apps, test the system, and enhance reporting capabilities within a high-performance market surveillance platform.

You will execute test plans, write test scripts, review requirements, and document results while using Azure DevOps for bug tracking and test case management. A strong QA mindset and willingness to learn AI tools are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related technical testing and project experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux-based systems.
• Experience with SQL databases, data mapping, and reporting tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power BI, Azure and Azure AD.
• Understanding of software testing phases: Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, Release Management.
• Basic programming knowledge with Python.
• Ability to learn new technologies and leverage AI tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and test cases per established testing standards.
• Assist with testing and documentation of new enhancements by writing and executing test scripts.
• Review requirements and execute functional and non-functional tests to validate system behaviour.
• Create and maintain test cases and suites in project requirements and testing standards.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using Azure DevOps and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain test cases within Azure DevOps and link to work items for coverage.
• Generate and analyze reports on work items, bug status, test coverage using Azure DevOps dashboards.
• Support enhancement of reporting and dashboard capabilities and assist with test data preparation.
