Job summary

Astek in Montreal seeks a senior software engineer to design and deliver scalable Python and React solutions in an agile team. You will leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate development and collaborate with global teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

You will participate in SCRUM ceremonies, report on project status, and write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• 5+ years of UI/UX implementation with React.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and coding assistants.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong grasp of OOP and design patterns; practical usage in projects.
• Solid Linux/Unix knowledge and shell scripting ability.
• Analytical thinking to design robust solutions for complex problems.
• Excellent teamwork and communication, both oral and written.
• Ability to write thorough unit tests covering major logic components.
