Job summary

Highspring in Montreal is seeking a Senior Python Developer with experience in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI to help build enterprise AI platforms and reusable Python frameworks.

You will design scalable Python applications, collaborate with stakeholders across functions, implement RESTful services, and participate in architecture discussions within a hybrid, long‑term contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python expertise.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Passion for continuous learning and emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Python applications and services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Enhance internal Python libraries, frameworks, and AI tooling.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in prompt engineering and lifecycle management.
• Improve prompts as new LLM versions become available.
• Execute testing, benchmarking, and performance evaluations of AI solutions.
• Monitor application performance and support production environments.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies with globally distributed teams.
