Qualifications

• 5 à 7 ans d'expérience en achats indirects, avec une expérience en gestion de catégorie MRO.

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Purchasing Manager for one of my clients, a company in food production.

Job Description:

1. Manage, train and mentor site team with best practices, performance and development goals.
2. Lead the execution of daily OPEX and CAPEX purchasing activities.
3. Define short- and long-term purchasing strategies for the region, reinforcing the use of strategic sourcing methodology.
4. Achieve savings targets in Capex areas.
5. Manage annual spend portfolio.
6. Define strategy and ensure execution of recycling program.
7. Responsible for communication and reporting of KPIs, results and challenges to key stakeholders.
8. Sourcing suppliers in accordance with defined parameters, inviting tenders from potential suppliers, evaluating competing offers and negotiating commercial terms.
9. Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers, implement improvement actions.
10. Understand, implement and enforce global/regional agreements and processes.
11. Identify budget reduction strategies through sourcing programs.

Skills Required:

1. University degree in engineering, business administration, finance or related field.
2. 5 to 7 years experience in indirect purchasing with experience in MRO or capital spend category management.
3. Technical or equivalent sourcing experience, capital project experience required.
4. Team management experience.
5. Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards.
6. Certificate/diploma in purchasing or relevant professional experience.
7. Proven track record in negotiating contracts and achieving savings.
8. Expert in supply chain and indirect materials.
9. Advanced training in MS Office (Excel), SAP and/or Maximo.
10. Bilingual English/French to communicate with international customers and partners.
