Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, SCM, Logistics, Transportation Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in transportation dispatch, fleet coordination, logistics operations, or terminal management within LTL, freight, or distribution environments.
• APICS CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain/logistics certification considered an asset; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Proven experience with dispatch processes such as driver assignment, route dispatch, real-time load coordination, or exception management in an operational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to deploy or implement new processes, tools, or systems across multiple operational sites.
• Experience working within Agile, hybrid, or phased delivery models in enterprise transformation or technology implementation programs.
• Deep operational knowledge of dispatch processes within a terminal-based transportation or logistics environment.
• Effective cross-functional coordination skills, working across operations, technology, change management, and training teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging terminal leadership, frontline supervisors, and program stakeholders with clarity and credibility.

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Senior Project Specialist - Dispatch in Dieppe, NB. The Dispatch Lead is an operations focused role within the Transformation Program. As the subject matter expert in dispatch capabilities, you will lead the end‑to‑end deployment of dispatch solutions across the terminal network. This role ensures that dispatch processes, tools, and workflows are effectively transitioned from the build environment into live operations‑enabling terminals to adopt and utilize new dispatch capabilities with confidence, consistency, and minimal disruption.

The Dispatch Lead (Transition) develops deep expertise in the future‑state dispatch model and translates that knowledge into practical deployment activities: terminal readiness assessments, user validation, process alignment, and go‑live support. The Dispatch Lead will ensure that each terminal deployment delivers operationally sound dispatch outcomes that reflect real‑world terminal conditions.

This role works in close partnership with the Transition Lead, Terminal Power Users, Product Owners, Business Architects, Training, Change Management, and terminal operations teams to ensure dispatch deployments are coordinated, sequenced, and supported-driving adoption, building operational capability, and accelerating value realization across the network.
