Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• APICS CSCP, CLTD or equivalent certification considered an asset; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt optional.
• 5–8 years of experience in driver operations, fleet/terminal management or related.
• Experience with driver processes: workflow, mobile deployment, electronic logging, hours of service.
• Experience deploying new processes/tools across multiple sites.
• Experience with Agile, hybrid, or phased delivery in transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of driver processes in terminal transportation environments.
• Excellent communication with terminal leadership and stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Senior Project Specialist - Drivers in Dieppe, NB. The Driver Lead is an operations focused role within the Transformation Program. As the subject matter expert in driver processes and technology, you will lead the end‑to‑end deployment of driver solutions across the terminal network. This role ensures that driver processes, tools, and workflows are effectively transitioned from the build environment into live operations‑enabling terminals to adopt and utilize new driver capabilities with confidence, consistency, and minimal disruption.
The Driver Lead (Transition) develops deep expertise in the future‑state driver model and translates that knowledge into practical deployment activities: terminal readiness assessments, user validation, process alignment, and go‑live support. The Driver Lead will ensure that each terminal deployment delivers operationally sound driver outcomes that reflect real‑world terminal conditions.
This role works in close partnership with the Transition Lead, Terminal Power Users, Product Owners, Business Architects, Training, Change Management, and terminal operations teams to ensure driver deployments are coordinated, sequenced, and supported-driving adoption, building operational capability, and accelerating value realization across the network.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the subject matter expert for driver processes and technology, building and transferring expertise to terminal teams.
• Lead end‑to‑end deployment of driver solutions, from readiness through go‑live, hypercare, and stabilization.
• Assess terminal readiness across people, process, data, and technology; identify gaps and drive remediation.
• Onboard and enable Power Users to support testing, deployment, and adoption at each terminal.
• Support user acceptance testing and operational validation to ensure readiness before cutover.
• Collaborate with product, business, and solution teams to ensure driver solutions reflect real operational needs.
• Monitor adoption and performance post‑deployment, resolving issues and reporting insights to leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• APICS CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain/logistics certification considered an asset; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in driver operations, fleet management, transportation operations, or terminal management within LTL, freight, or distribution environments.
• Proven experience with driver processes such as driver workflow management, mobile technology deployment, electronic logging, pre‑trip and post‑trip compliance, or hours of service management in an operational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to deploy or implement new processes, tools, or systems across multiple operational sites.
• Experience working within Agile, hybrid, or phased delivery models in enterprise transformation or technology implementation programs.
• Deep operational knowledge of driver processes within a terminal‑based transportation or logistics environment.
• Strong ability to translate future‑state solution design into practical, terminal‑ready deployment activities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging terminal leadership, frontline supervisors, and program stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
