Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Planner to create CPM schedules for engineering and construction projects, coordinating with project managers and multidisciplinary teams. The primary on-site location is Chicoutimi, with potential travel to client sites and collaboration across Montréal, Laval, Trois-Rivières, and Québec City.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or engineering project environments.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary EPCM teams.
• Engineering degree is an asset; PM credential is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules for engineering and construction projects using CPM.
• Create and maintain project schedules tailored to clients and teams.
• Develop baseline schedules with project manager before start-up.
• Maintain and update schedules throughout project lifecycle.
• Identify impacts of completed work and provide regular updates.
• Incorporate resource and/or cost data into schedules when required.
• Liaise with clients and project teams to discuss impacts and resolve issues.
• Ensure proper planning before work begins with team and client.
• Collaborate with PMs to develop short-term schedules and monitor progress.
• Provide schedule-related information and document changes.
• Execute integrated change control for project schedules.
• Support change management related to scope, cost, and schedule.
• Stay current with scheduling software and tools.
• Assist with reporting and change requests for projects.
• On-site projects: work with clients to support scheduling needs.
• Manage recurring and ad hoc reporting; participate in project reporting.
