Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Planner/Scheduler to lead and optimize schedules across large energy, mining, and infrastructure projects. You will drive integration of project plans, manage baselines, and support project controls and risk management throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires deep experience with Primavera P6, CPM scheduling, and coordination with PMs, engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Location mixed Canada-wide with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Project Controls, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of planning and scheduling experience on large projects.
• Experience on Energy & Resources projects including mining, power, renewables, industrial facilities, or major infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Deep understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of integrated project schedules from concept through closeout.
• Develop and manage schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup.
• Establish schedule logic, critical paths, milestones, resources, and constraints.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineering, procurement, construction, and clients to produce realistic plans.
• Provide schedule risk assessments and recovery plans, validate scope with delivery teams.
• Maintain baseline schedules and schedule management plans.
• Prepare executive schedule reports and dashboards.
