Job summary

GovTech Talent Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, high-risk OPS I&IT initiatives in Ontario.

The role requires coordinating executive relationships, managing complex schedules, and ensuring procurement compliance across cross-ministry funding streams. The candidate will oversee budgeting, risk management, and change management efforts, delivering on time and within scope while adhering to government standards.

Qualifications

• Must have PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Experience in executive-level briefing and managing infrastructure development projects.
• Experience with public sector business case/funding acquisition and competitive procurements.
• Extensive experience managing procurement and purchasing initiatives, including vendor management and contract administration.
• Ability to develop complex project budgets across multiple funding channels and cross-ministry dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor costs, forecast expenditures, and report to senior executives.
• Ability to lead organizational development, strategy, and ministry funding requests.

Responsibilities

• Provides project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high risk OPS I&IT initiatives.
• Ensures deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope, and budget while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with OPS methodologies.
• Gathers and develops requirements to create and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated plans.
• Promotes I&IT project management best practices and adheres to standard methodologies.
• Directs project teams to deliver on time while meeting government and ministry standards.
