Job summary

Parker Huggett - A Division of LRO Staffing in Alberta is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Edmonton-area ICI projects. You will lead delivery from preconstruction through warranty, mentor PMs and Coordinators, and own project outcomes with a hands-on, system-driven approach.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in senior PM roles on large commercial or institutional builds, strong budgeting and cost reporting skills, and a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams. Gold Seal is a plus.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

An Alberta-based general contractor with a full slate of ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) work is looking for a Senior Project Manager to take the wheel on some of their larger Edmonton-area builds.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to be handed a playbook. You'll be expected to bring your own systems, mentor the PMs and Coordinators underneath you, and own the outcome.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Own project delivery end-to-end, from early preconstruction planning through warranty close-out
• Build and defend project budgets and schedules to internal leadership and the client
• Mentor and manage a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Superintendents
• Sit across the table from clients and consultants as the primary point of contact
• Get ahead of risk, whether it's a contract issue, schedule slippage, or scope creep, before it becomes a problem
• Negotiate change orders and subcontracts
• Report on project health and financials to senior leadership

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 8+ years in progressively senior project management roles within ICI construction
• A track record of running large commercial or institutional projects from start to finish
• Sharp with numbers: budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
• Natural at managing up, down, and across a project team
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree/diploma
• Gold Seal certification is a plus

About the Job

This is a permanent role with a base salary in the $135,000 to $175,000 range depending on experience and project scale, plus a bonus program, benefits, and a genuine path to grow within the organization.
