Job summary

Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. in Prince Rupert, BC, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a landmark marine and heavy civil project on a 12-month fly-in, fly-out contract with a 14 days on / 7 days off rotation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Registered, or eligible for registration, with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or ASTTBC.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in construction.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale marine, heavy civil, industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.
• Strong background in contract administration, cost control, forecasting, and financial management.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, schedules, and project deliverables.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily construction operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and contract amendments.
• Review subcontractor performance and manage contractual obligations.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, forecasting, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Collaborate closely with project administration, accounting, and field operations teams.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, consultants, and project teams.
• Coordinate the effective deployment of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Support business development opportunities and client relationship management.
• Champion a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture across the project.
