Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. (VanPile) invites an experienced Superintendent to lead a major AltaGas marine project in Prince Rupert, BC. You will oversee field operations, manage large crews, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule in a fly‑in, fly‑out setting.

The role offers a 14 days on / 7 days off rotation, company-paid travel and accommodations, and a path to growth with a respected industry leader.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of leadership on large-scale marine construction projects.
Extensive experience in marine piling, foundations, dredging, ports or terminals.
Strong understanding of marine construction methods, codes, and best practices.
Proven experience managing large field crews and subcontractors.
Intermediate computer proficiency, including Office and email.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Safety leadership across all project activities and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Lead early works construction activities for marine terminals, jetties, ports, and related infrastructure; oversee piling, foundations, dredging and marine structures.
Coordinate labour, subcontractors, vessels, equipment, and materials; supervise 50+ crew
Manage construction lifecycle from mobilization to completion; monitor progress and resolve challenges

We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team on a major AltaGas Project in Prince Rupert, BC. Your Impact on the Water

As Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind daily field operations, ensuring marine construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

Champion a culture of safety across all project activities.
Lead by example and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Promote and support VanPile's commitment to ensuring every employee returns home safely.

Marine Construction Execution

Lead early works construction activities for marine terminals, jetties, ports, and related infrastructure.
Oversee heavy piling, foundation installation, dredging, excavation, and marine structure construction.
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Resource Management

Coordinate labour, subcontractors, vessels, equipment, and materials.
Lead and supervise multidisciplinary crews of 50+ workers.
Optimize resource utilization to achieve productivity and schedule targets.

Project Delivery

Manage the construction lifecycle from mobilization through project completion.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve challenges.
Support weekly planning and review meetings to maintain schedule performance.

Stakeholder Relationships

Build and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and community relationships.
Represent VanPile professionally and uphold our reputation for excellence and integrity.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 7 years of successful leadership experience on large-scale marine construction projects.
Extensive experience in marine piling, marine foundations, dredging, ports, terminals, jetties, or similar infrastructure projects.
