Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. is seeking an experienced Superintendent (Fly-In Fly-Out) to lead a major AltaGas project in Prince Rupert, BC.

You will direct safety, marine construction execution, and resource management on a large-scale waterfront infrastructure program with a 14 days on/7 days off rotation. The role requires at least 7 years of leadership in marine construction, with expertise in piling, dredging, and foundations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience on large-scale marine construction projects.
• Extensive experience in marine piling, foundations, dredging, ports, terminals, or related infra.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: Champion safety culture and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Marine Construction Execution: Lead early works for marine terminals, jetties, ports and related infra; oversee piling, foundations, dredging and marine structures.
• Resource Management: Coordinate labour, subcontractors, vessels, equipment, and materials; supervise crews of 50+ workers.
• Project Delivery: Manage construction lifecycle from mobilization to completion; monitor progress and resolve challenges; support weekly planning.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and communities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team on a major AltaGas Project in Prince Rupert, BC. Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

• Champion a culture of safety across all project activities.


• Lead by example and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Marine Construction Execution

• Lead early works construction activities for marine terminals, jetties, ports, and related infrastructure.


• Oversee heavy piling, foundation installation, dredging, excavation, and marine structure construction.


• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Resource Management

• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, vessels, equipment, and materials.


• Lead and supervise multidisciplinary crews of 50+ workers.


• Optimize resource utilization to achieve productivity and schedule targets.

Project Delivery

• Manage the construction lifecycle from mobilization through project completion.


• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve challenges.


• Support weekly planning and review meetings to maintain schedule performance.

Stakeholder Relationships

• Build and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and community relationships.


• Represent VanPile professionally and uphold our reputation for excellence and integrity.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of successful leadership experience on large-scale marine construction projects.


• Extensive experience in marine piling, marine foundations, dredging, ports, terminals, jetties, or similar infrastructure projects.


• Strong understanding of marine construction methods, codes, standards, and best practices.


• Proven experience managing large field crews and subcontractors.


• Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email applications.


• Valid driver's license.
