Job summary

Critical Mass in Calgary is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead website and digital initiatives across the full project lifecycle. You will coordinate Creative, Content, Technology, Media and other teams to deliver high‑quality work on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of digital PM experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage scope, timelines, risks, and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end digital and website projects, including campaigns and new content pages.
  • Coordinate across Creative, Content, Technology, Media, and other teams.
  • Own project tracking with scope, timelines, deliverables, and risks.
  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and workflows.
  • Partner with internal teams and clients to set priorities and maintain momentum.
  • Manage project budgets and financial tracking.
  • Identify risks early and escalate when needed.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Job description

The Senior Project Manager plays an integral role in partnering closely with our client and multidisciplinary teams. You will lead website and digital initiatives across the full project lifecycle, bringing together Creative, Content, Technology, Media, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality work on time and within scope.

This is a senior, hands‑on project management role within a lean team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and accountable, with strong project management fundamentals and the communication skills needed to effectively guide teams, manage stakeholders, and know when and how to escalates issues.

You will be comfortable creating structure and improving processes while also adapting to new tools, technologies, and ways of working. We are looking for someone who brings both strong operational discipline and the curiosity to identify better ways of working, including opportunities to leverage emerging and AI‑powered tools to optimize project delivery.

You Will:
  • Lead end-to-end digital and website projects, including campaigns, new content pages, and website initiatives.

  • Coordinate projects across Creative, Content, Technology, Media, and other multidisciplinary teams.

  • Own project tracking, ensuring scope, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and risks are clearly managed and communicated.

  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, workflows, and processes that enable teams to deliver successfully.

  • Partner closely with internal teams and clients to establish priorities, align on objectives, and maintain momentum throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage project budgets and financial tracking, ensuring projects remain aligned with agreed financial parameters.

  • Identify potential issues and risks early, determine when escalation is required, and communicate effectively with both senior stakeholders and project teams.

  • Provide clear, timely updates on project status, risks, dependencies, and next steps.

  • Facilitate collaboration and alignment across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

  • Bring structure to complex projects while remaining adaptable as priorities, tools, and requirements evolve.

  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve project management processes, workflows, and ways of working.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

  • Share knowledge and provide mentorship to less experienced project management talent when appropriate.

  • Strong technical project management background, including Agile/Sprint methodology.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working in client‑facing environments.

  • Experience with Jira & Confluence

  • Facilitate meetings and manage risks, ensuring quality in all deliverables.

  • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, POs, and invoices, while identifying and mitigating project risks.

  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.

  • Experienced working across multiple disciplines, including Creative, Technology, Media, Content, and Project Management.

  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and multiple workstreams.

You Have:
    • 5 years of experience in digital project management, ideally with a focus on websites and digital experiences.
  • Experience leading projects across the full lifecycle, from creative and content development through technology and website delivery.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and projects involving areas such as Creative, Content, Technology, Media, and other digital disciplines.

  • Strong project management fundamentals, including experience managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, resources, and budgets.

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • A demonstrated ability to create structure, establish processes, and maintain strong project organization.

  • Experience working in client‑facing environments.

  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, tools, technologies, and processes.

  • Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other project managers is a plus.

  • Familiarity with emerging and AI-powered tools for improving project management processes is a plus.

  • Experience in automotive, digital marketing, or agency environments is a plus.
