Job summary

Critical Mass is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and consistency of digital and creative deliverables across formats. You will act as the final gate before release, partnering with Producers, Designers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to identify defects and mitigate risks.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in QC/QA for creative and digital production, strong English skills, and a deep understanding of design fundamentals.

Qualifications

  • Advanced English level (B2+/C1 reading, writing, and conversation).
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Creative Production Review, Digital Production, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience reviewing and validating creative assets across digital, video, print, social media, and interactive formats, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, color, spacing, visual hierarchy, and overall creative quality standards.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC methodologies, defect management, testing processes, and creative asset specifications, including file formats, export settings, and delivery requirements.
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, combined with strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills in fast-paced production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive quality reviews of creative and digital deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand, client, and technical requirements.
  • Identify, document, and communicate visual, content, functional, and technical defects through clear, actionable feedback and reporting.
  • Validate assets across multiple formats, including static creatives, video, HTML banners, emails, websites, and digital experiences prior to release.
  • Collaborate closely with Producers, Designers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and mitigate delivery risks.
  • Execute established quality control processes, maintain project documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance production quality and efficiency.

Job description

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and overall quality of creative and digital deliverables across multiple channels. Acting as the final quality gate before release, you will collaborate closely with Producers, Designers, Production Artists, Developers, and Creative Teams to identify defects, mitigate risks, and ensure all assets meet established quality standards, client requirements, and technical specifications.

This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of design fundamentals, digital production workflows, and quality assurance methodologies. You will review a wide range of deliverables including static creatives, video assets, HTML emails, display banners, websites, mobile experiences, and other digital products.

Success in this role requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset in a fast-paced production environment. **This position requires full on-site attendance, five days per week**, at the Barreal office (Heredia, Zona Franca Metropolitana) from** 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (CR time)**

You Will:

You Have

  • Experience with Central or similar workflow management platforms.

  • Experience creating Test Plans, Test Cases, and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, web technologies, and accessibility standards (WCAG).

  • Experience with defect tracking tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
