Job summary

Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”) is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Compression with a minimum of 15 years of experience to lead FEED for a Greenfield field development in Western Canada.

The role requires strong compression experience, discipline knowledge, and effective client interaction across multiple oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will direct project engineers, organize resources, and manage cost estimates, schedules and design bases while ensuring compliance with HSE

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years as a Project Engineer/Manager in Oil & Gas facilities in Western Canada.
• Strong compression experience is a must for FEED management of booster compressors in a large Greenfield development.
• Strong technical skills with knowledge of discipline-specific codes and standards such as Directive 55, Directive 56, ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, ASME Section 8, API 650, 12F, 610.
• Experience with skid fabrication and design, equipment lists, line lists, mechanical equipment skids, pressure vessels."
• Fabrication shop or field experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Bluebeam.
• Excellent team collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED for a large Greenfield development and booster compressor installation.
• Manage client and vendor interaction across multiple oil & gas projects.
• Direct and coordinate Project Engineers and disciplines.
• Organize manpower and resources for ongoing projects.
• Prepare and maintain cost estimates, schedules, and design philosophies.
• Coordinate with design/drafting groups for PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Isometrics and GA’s.
• Evaluate quotes for oil & gas facility and pipeline equipment and contractor bids.
• Represent Acero as the technical lead with the client and maintain strong client relationships.
• Adhere to HSE rules and Acero's procedures.

Acero Engineering Inc. (\u201CAcero\u201D), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as Senior Project Manager – Compression; minimum 15 years of experience.

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start‑up. Our core service offering is in‑house project management, process, mechanical, electrical I&C engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services and construction management.

Responsibilities

As the Project Manager for the FEED of a large Greenfield full field development:

• Client and vendor interaction (ie. Managing projects) for numerous oil and gas projects and related facilities


• Direct and utilize Project Engineers and disciplines


• Organize manpower and resources as needed on the various projects that you will be involved with


• Prepare and maintain cost estimates, schedules, philosophies (eg. Design Basis, PEP, PMPP, etc.)


• Coordinate through the design/drafting group - PFD’s, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Isometrics and GA’s


• Evaluate quotes received for all typical oil & gas facility & pipeline equipment as well as pipeline and/or facility contractor bids


• Effectively utilize your strong knowledge of codes, standards and specifications pertaining to oil and gas industry equipment, vessels, pipe, etc.


• Act as Acero’s key technical representative with the client – helping the sponsor maintain an excellent client relationship with open and clear communication


• Understand and work in accordance with Acero’s and clients’ HSE rules and regulations


• Follow Acero’s established operating procedures and protocols (including strict adherence to the Staff Handbook)


• Other tasks/responsibilities, as required

Required Education, Experience And Skills

• Minimum of 15 years as a “Project Engineer” and/or “Project Manager” in Oil and Gas Facilities in Western Canada


• Strong compression experience is a “must have”– as the role involves FEED Management for the installation of booster compressors in a large Greenfield development.


• Strong technical skills and working knowledge of discipline‑specific skills, codes and standard practices such as; Directive 55, Directive 56, ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, ASME Section 8, API 650, 12 F, 610 etc.


• Experience with skid fabrication and design, equipment lists, line lists, mechanical equipment skids, pressure vessels etc.
