Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a full-time, site-based role in a regulated infrastructure environment (aviation preferred). You will lead design, procurement and construction tasks and coordinate client and contractor teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, 10+ years PM experience in construction, PMP desirable, and strong MS Office/Project skills. The company offers comprehensive benefits and a hybrid-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years as a Project Manager in construction.
• Airport/aviation experience is highly preferred; related qualifications are a plus.
• Strong MS Office and project data platforms proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks across design, procurement and construction phases.
• Work with client teams to establish budgets and schedules at feasibility.
• Set up meetings, capture minutes, drive actions to closure.
• Ensure project document controls and file standards compliance.
• Coordinate stakeholders, consultants and vendors; provide regular reports.
• Maintain budget and schedule; identify solutions for potential issues.
• Oversee procurement, consultant/contractor appointments, and quotations.
• Review results from appointed parties and manage change orders.

Job Description

You are an expertSenior Project Managerlooking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment; a highly regulated and complex operational environment in the infrastructure sector (aviation preferred). This is a full-time site-based role, 5 days / week in the office is required.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be involved in:

• Leading individual tasks throughout the design, procurement and construction process.
• Working with the client team to identify initial budgets and scheduling at project feasibility.
• Setting up and lead meetings, transcribe meeting minutes and drive action items to closure.
• Ensuring project compliance with client’s document controls and file specifications.
• Collaborating and coordinating client stakeholders, consultants, client direct vendors and contractors.
• Providing regular reporting.
• Aiming to maintain budget and schedule and identify potential solutions for issues that look to jeopardize same.
• Running procurement, recommendation and appointment of consultants and contractors, and establishing quotations and order placement with client direct vendors.
• Eliciting and reviewing results from relevant appointed parties.
• Coordinating Contracts and Master Service Agreements through the project lifecycle.
• Change order management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field
• PMPcertification is highly desirable
• A minimum of10 years of experienceas a Project Manager in assisting or supervising construction
• Airport/Aviation experience is highly preferred
• Aviation planning experience or relevant industry qualifications will be strongly considered
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Project or P6.
• Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $90,000 - $155,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
