Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Canada seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead design, procurement and construction tasks for commercial or retail fit-out projects. You will collaborate with client teams to set budgets and schedules, run meetings, and drive actions to closure, while ensuring documentation controls are followed.

The role requires 4–7 years of PM experience in construction, a related bachelor’s degree, and a PMP is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 4–7 years of project management experience in construction.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project or P6.
• Experience in commercial or retail fit-out is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks through design, procurement and construction with client teams.
• Identify initial budgets and scheduling at project feasibility.
• Set up and lead meetings; transcribe minutes; drive actions to closure.
• Ensure compliance with client document controls and file specifications.
• Coordinate client stakeholders, consultants, vendors and contractors.
• Provide regular reporting and manage change orders.
• Oversee procurement, quotations and order placement with vendors.
• Coordinate contracts and master service agreements through the project lifecycle.
• Support project closeout and lessons learned workshops.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be involved in:

• Leading individual tasks throughout the design, procurement and construction process including furnitureinstalland coordination with client I.T.
• Working with the client team toidentifyinitial budgets andscheduling atproject feasibility.
• Setting up andleadmeetings, transcribe meeting minutes and drive action items to closure.
• Ensuring project compliance withclient’sdocument controls and file specifications.
• Collaborating and coordinating client stakeholders, consultants, client directvendorsand contractors.
• Providing regular reporting.
• Aiming tomaintainbudget and schedule andidentifypotential solutions for issues that look to jeopardizesame.
• Running procurement, recommendation and appointment of consultants and contractors, andestablishingquotations and order placement with client direct vendors.
• Eliciting and reviewing results from relevant appointed parties.
• Coordinating Contracts and Master Service Agreementsthroughthe project lifecycle.
• Change order management.
• Attending weekly orbi-weeklysite visits when in construction.
• Administrating project observation reports.
• Processing payments to consultants,contractorsand direct vendors in liaison withconsultantteam.
• Punch-list management
• Participation in commissioning
• Administering and coordinating project closeout documentation including lessons learned workshops.

• A minimum of4 - 7 years of experienceas a Project Manager inassistingor supervising construction
• Commercial or retail fit out experience isrequired
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field
• PMPcertification is highly desirable
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel,Powerpoint, & Project or P6.
• Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.
