Join Our Team! Our team of dedicated employees have been instrumental to our growth. We have a unique opportunity within our sales division for a Senior Project Manager. They will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of new products into the sales process. This role requires collaboration across sales, product management, and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, provide the sales team with necessary tools and training, and ensure smooth product launches. The objective is to enable the sales team to effectively sell new products, contributing to overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Management and Marketing to define and execute strategies for integrating new products into the sales pipeline.
- Ensure that new products are positioned effectively in the market, aligning with the company’s overall sales strategy and customer needs.
- Develop and communicate product positioning and messaging guidelines for the sales team.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that equip the sales team with in-depth knowledge of new products, including key features, benefits, competitive differentiators, and value propositions.
- Create and maintain sales enablement materials (e.g., product sheets, FAQs, demo scripts) to support the sales team’s efforts in pitching and selling new products.
- Conduct periodic training refreshers as product updates and market conditions evolve.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between the sales, product management, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on product features, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
- Work with marketing to create and distribute sales collateral that supports the sales process for new products.
- Coordinate the efforts of various departments to ensure successful product launches, including aligning on timelines, deliverables, and key milestones.
- Provide direct support to sales teams during new product launches, ensuring that the teams have the resources and information needed to address customer needs and close deals.
- Gather and analyze feedback from the sales team and customers on product performance and sales challenges. Communicate this feedback to product management for continuous product and process improvement.
- Monitor sales performance and identify gaps or barriers to successful product adoption, proposing solutions to overcome them.
Metrics & Reporting:
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of new product sales initiatives, including sales adoption rates, sales cycle times, and overall revenue growth for new products.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on the progress of new product integration and highlight areas for improvement or adjustment.
- Continuously assess sales strategies and outcomes to optimize performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a sales or product management role, with a focus on new product integration or go-to-market strategies specific to the ophthalmic industry
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams.
- Experience with developing and delivering sales training programs and creating sales enablement content.
Key Skills:
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze sales data and use insights to drive actionable improvements in sales performance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex product information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce) and MS Office Suite; familiarity with sales enablement tools is a plus.
