Job summary

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Technologist to lead a portfolio of HMGP projects in a dynamic oils and gas environment. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to move initiatives from concept to execution and closure, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Diploma in Technology; licensed P.ENG with APEGA and APEGS, or Registered Professional Technologist with ASET.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience providing technical support and design input for operations and maintenance teams in an industrial setting, preferably oil pipelines and facilities.
• Familiarity with oil and gas engineering standards and provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of projects from execution through closure; support initiation and planning with operations and engineering.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
• Evaluate equipment and facility alterations under MOC and codes.
• Lead process hazard analyses and maintain critical project documentation for safe execution.
• Promote COIMS adherence; support field engagements and continuous improvement.
• Travel to HMGP field sites as required for scoping and coordination.
