Job summary

Cenovus Energy invites a Senior Project Engineer / Technologist to lead a portfolio of HMGP projects from concept through execution and closure. This role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable facility improvements in Lloydminster.

The ideal candidate will have a professional engineering license or technologist certification, 8+ years of relevant experience, and a strong background in oil pipelines and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Diploma in Technology.
• Licensed P.ENG with APEGA and APEGS, or Registered Professional Technologist with ASET.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience providing technical support and design input for operations and maintenance in oil pipelines and facilities.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3, API 650/653, CSA Z662 and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of HMGP projects from execution to closure while coordinating with operations and engineering.
• Provide technical review of project cost, schedule, and execution plans.
• Develop engineering work packages including scopes, specs, drawings, and approvals for execution.
• Support risk management via MOC processes and process hazard analyses.
• Promote COIMS adherence and field engagements to verify safety and compliance.
