Job summary

ATS Industrial Automation is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to create and maintain project schedules, collaborate with the Project Manager and department leads to assess progress, identify issues and coordinate solutions. Responsibilities include biweekly Primavera updates, forecasting delivery dates, managing material due dates, supporting production control, and participating in weekly meetings.

Primavera/Planview, MS Project and Excel skills are essential, with 3+ years scheduling

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in materials management or equivalent, with practical working knowledge of MRP and shop floor controls.
• Three+ years of scheduling experience in manufacturing; Primavera and Planview are assets; MS Project and Excel are required.

Responsibilities

• Biweekly (or more frequent) updates of Primavera project schedules.
• Generate schedule changes to maintain visibility and predict delivery dates.
• Utilize Primavera/Planview to automate data collection and distribution.
• Determine material due dates using schedules and input from Sales and project team.
• Coordinate work orders and kitting to meet the schedule.
• Provide information to production control to issue due-dated work orders.
• Participate in weekly Production and Loading Meetings and communicate constraints and promises.
• Run/review MRP reports and finite scheduling to generate plant schedules and vendor releases.
