Job summary

Sylvan Inc is seeking an experienced Scheduler at an intermediate level to independently manage complex project schedules across multiple projects. You will lead master schedules, conduct CPM analysis, and support resource planning and cost forecasting.

You will mentor junior staff, run scheduling meetings with clients and subcontractors, and ensure timely updates to stakeholders. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project is required, with a proven track record of delivering on schedule

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on project scheduling experience.
• PSP (Project Scheduling Professional) from AACE or CAPM/PMP from PMI is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Collaborate with project teams to gather progress updates and integrate them into the master schedule.
• Identify schedule logic, critical path activities, and potential bottlenecks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for stakeholders.
• Perform advanced CPM analysis and time-impact analysis for delays or changes.
• Lead scheduling meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Perform resource loading, leveling, and cost-forecasting within the schedule.
• Mentor and guide junior scheduling staff.

This role is intended for an experienced Scheduler to independently manage complex project schedules and provide the analysis needed to keep projects on track. You'll work across project teams to maintain master schedules, lead scheduling meetings, analyze critical paths and the effects of delays or changes, and support resource planning and cost forecasting. You'll also provide guidance to junior scheduling staff. We're looking for someone who communicates clearly, works effectively with minimal supervision, and brings advanced Primavera P6 expertise and sound judgment to multiple projects at once.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 3-5+ years of dedicated hands-on project scheduling experience.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Primavera P6, including advanced logic sequencing, resource loading, and baselining.

• Certifications: PSP (Project Scheduling Professional) from AACE or CAPM/PMP from PMI is a strong asset.


• Core Traits: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple complex project schedules simultaneously.
