Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Project Controls Director to lead the project controls function for the Urban Transportations Solutions group in Canada. You will manage cost, schedule, risk, and reporting, establishing data structures and governance across major transit projects.

Qualifications

• Progressive project controls experience on large infrastructure programs.
• Senior leadership in project controls across cost, schedule, risk, and reporting.
• Experience with collaborative contracting models (Alliance, Design-Build, CMGC).
• Strong data, governance, and forecasting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls function across multiple delivery models.
• Develop and maintain project controls plans for cost, schedule, risk, and reporting.
• Establish data structures (WBS, CBS) and maintain integrity throughout the lifecycle.
• Build integrated cost, schedule, risk, and performance management systems.
• Lead budgets, baselines, accruals, forecasts, and EACs.
• Develop and maintain integrated schedules across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Implement earned value management and track CPI, SPI, SV, and EAC.
• Lead risk management including Monte Carlo analysis and risk governance cadences.
• Support commercial teams with change orders and claims assessment.
• Develop leadership and coach project controls team members.
