Job summary

Stantec in Toronto, Canada is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major multidisciplinary programs with budgets over $30 million in consulting fees and up to $1 billion in construction value. You will oversee budgets, forecasts, margins, and risk, while guiding teams across architecture, engineering and project controls to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will manage client relationships, align delivery strategy with business objectives, and drive profitability and growth of the Buildings

Qualifications

• Experience managing large, complex projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and performance.
• Understanding of Design-Build, P3, IPD, and other delivery models.
• Contract administration and commercial management experience.
• Ability to guide multidisciplinary teams on high‑value projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across a portfolio of major multidisciplinary projects and ensure alignment with client objectives and business targets.
• Serve as a senior advisor to project teams, supporting decision-making on delivery strategy, commercial considerations and risk.
• Accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and contractual obligations on large-scale projects.
• Lead integrated teams across architecture, engineering and project controls for coordinated delivery.
• Collaborate with Regional Major Projects Leads and corporate partners on contract requirements and risk management.
• Oversee development and review of major project proposals including scope, fee, delivery approach and commercial considerations.
• Participate in project governance and reviews to support performance oversight.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and clear expectations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and subconsultants to ensure aligned project delivery.
• Monitor project performance and address cost, schedule, quality, and risk challenges.
• Manage project financials including budgets, revenue recognition, invoicing and collections.
• Share lessons learned and mentor project team members.
