Join to apply for the Senior Program Manager, E-Health role at Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
The primary function of the Senior Program Manager, E-Health is to lead and assist with the development and implementation of digitized versions of RNAO’s best practice guidelines in the International Affairs and Best Practice Guidelines (IABPG) Centre. This includes supporting the work of the Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) and RNAO Clinical Pathways programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily activities and deliverables of the RNAO clinical pathways team, including resource allocation.
- Lead the design and validation of RNAO Clinical Pathways aligned with standardized nursing terminology such as SNOMED CT and ICNP.
- Oversee the integration of RNAO Clinical Pathways into electronic documentation systems, supporting data collection and expansion of the NQuIRE data system.
- Apply frameworks like Knowledge-to-Action and Social Movement Action to facilitate implementation, education, and sustainability of RNAO Clinical Pathways.
- Develop and implement project management tools and strategies aligned with IABPG programs.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including LTC coaches, data scientists, and sector experts to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical pathways.
- Lead strategic planning to enhance the uptake of the RNAO Clinical Pathways across sectors.
- Coordinate with the Associate Director to expand the BPSO Program among LTC homes.
- Participate in research activities to assess the impact of the Clinical Pathways.
- Maintain consistent branding of RNAO Clinical Pathways.
- Conduct performance reviews and oversee team activities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, workshops, and publications related to the program.
- Provide consultation and represent RNAO on committees and research teams.
- Support activities aligned with IABPG Centre objectives and other projects as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Masters degree in nursing or related field with at least 10 years of experience in clinical informatics and BPG implementation, including 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Knowledge of implementation science and change management.
- Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience in staff supervision is preferred.
Effort and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Regular use of computer, walking, standing, and operating equipment.
- Travel may be required for dissemination and project activities.
- Work in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal risks.
