Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee complex, global initiatives across business units and will be responsible for ensuring seamless delivery, providing expert guidance, and driving cross-project coordination to meet strategic objectives.

The Role – Program Manager
Responsibilities
  • Program Governance & Steering: Lead program governance activities including steering committee updates, risk mitigation, change control, and decision-making. Maintain proactive communication across all phases of the program.
  • Delivery Assurance & Consulting: Offer expert guidance on program delivery, conducting health checks, developing business cases, assessing financial impacts, scoping projects, and managing risks.
  • Cross-Project Coordination: Manage overlapping work streams, critical milestones, interdependencies, scope changes, and implementation planning to ensure cohesive program execution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cybersecurity, HR, IT operations, and business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure enhancements and initiatives are aligned and integrated effectively.
  • Communication & Reporting: Establish formal and informal communication channels to provide consistent progress updates to management, steering committees, project boards, and other stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Oversee multiple project managers, providing mentorship, direction, and accountability to ensure project goals are met and best practices are followed.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize program and project management processes for better efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, manage issues proactively, and adapt to diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management abilities across various organizational levels.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and technical acumen.
  • Experience managing large, multi-year programs with complex scope and dependencies.
Preferred, but not required
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience within the insurance or financial services industries.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure projects and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
