Job summary

Metrolinx, a government agency in Ontario, seeks a Senior Manager to lead day-to-day oversight of a team of Controls and Performance professionals within the Capital Projects Group. You will drive program-level controls across subway and LRT projects, coordinating cost, schedule, risk, and reporting functions to support on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management, engineering, project management or related field.
• Demonstrated experience with increasing responsibility in the management of Project Controls on large projects, transportation project experience a plus.
• Experience across Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, AFP delivery and progressive contracting strategies.
• Active membership or accreditation in AACE, PMI, or similar association is an asset.
• Strong practical knowledge of Project Controls principles, processes and practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent implementation of Program Controls processes and standards across the Rapid Transit Program and projects.
• Lead Program-level performance management across cost, schedule, risk, reporting and interfaces.
• Establish integrated controls reporting for budgets, actuals, forecasts, schedules and risks.
• Maintain relationships with Project Delivery Teams, Project Controls leaders, and Program leadership.
• Oversee submittals management and information control activities in line with policies.
• Partner with functional leads to deliver integrated controls and assurance.
• Engage with Project Delivery Teams to review performance and root causes.
• Identify cross-project trends and escalate material concerns when needed.
