Job summary

NMI, a Canada-based fintech platform, is seeking a Senior Product Owner to drive tactical delivery for Billing and Data platforms. You will own features end-to-end, write sharp user stories, validate criteria, and perform UAT with BigQuery SQL to ensure data accuracy across two interconnected domains.

You will influence architecture decisions, manage cross-team dependencies, and partner with PMs and EMs to align delivery with business strategy, while maintaining a strong focus on day-to-day

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager with platform focus.
• Deep SME for owned products, with technical depth beyond business context.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, pipelines and tools (BigQuery, dbt, Airflow).
• Ability to write and run SQL in BigQuery for UAT validation and data checks.
• Experience with Agile frameworks and tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma).
• Proven UAT execution and solid communication across technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery for Billing and Data teams by backlog management and Agile ceremonies.
• Write detailed epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Conduct and manage UAT, including SQL verification against BigQuery.
• Coordinate release planning, notes, and internal rollout communications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to manage cross-team dependencies.
• Partner with PMs to align tactical execution with strategy.
• Align with Engineering Managers on capacity and backlog sequencing.
• Provide product training for customer-facing and internal teams.
• Maintain transparency on upcoming work and timelines.
