Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Product Owner for a Big 5 banking client to own and adjust an existing open banking roadmap for small business digital banking.

Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and analytics to deliver value, translate priorities into clear requirements, and drive adoption, while leading agile pods through ceremonies in a 2-3 days hybrid Toronto environment.

Qualifications

• Banking/FI experience with small business banking preferred.
• Strong backlog ownership, acceptance criteria, and roadmapping.
• Partner with engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders.
• Deliver enterprise-scale digital products with clear business outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience operating in Agile product delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, roadmap, delivery and lifecycle of an open banking initiative for small business customers.
• Translate business priorities into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing strategic and tactical needs.
• Partner daily with engineering, data science, design, and analytics teams to deliver value.
• Drive stakeholder alignment, product adoption, and usage across the organization.
• Monitor product performance, remove blockers, and continuously improve customer experience.
• Ensure solutions are desirable, viable, scalable, and responsibly built.
• Lead delivery teams on roadmaps, leading agile pods through ceremonies and sprints.

Location: 2-3 days hybrid downtown Toronto

Salary:125-130k annual - + 15% bonus w. possibility of multiplier (up to 2x, performance-based)

Project/Context

• Will oversee Open Banking initiatives for digital business banking
• First mandate for Open Banking - data out - business cased and ready to go
• Data In - needs to be business cased and ask for additional team (product support)
• Needing many years of Sr. Mgr level experience - Product Lead, Group Product Manage

Must-Haves:

• Banking/FI experience - Small business banking experience and Open banking experience is preferred
• Strong experience owning and prioritizing a product backlog, writing acceptance criteria, and translating strategy into roadmaps

This role focuses on owning and adjusting an existing product roadmap (and eventually creating new roadmaps) for a digital business banking product, ensuring successful partner and technology integration. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of a product roadmaps.
