Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs in Canada is seeking an energetic technical writer to inspire and support our platform users. You will collaborate with software engineers to build and maintain documentation of concepts and workflows, and contribute to user assistance materials such as tutorials, blogs, and videos.

You will work within a UA team to align with Esri’s documentation style, participate in product development, and use AI-assisted writing tools to improve content while ensuring accuracy, clarity,

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of professional technical writing experience in software or GIS contexts.
• Proven ability to convey complex topics clearly and concisely.
• Experience with HTML/XML/Markdown documentation workflows and CMS.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, GitHub, SQL, and Python for documentation.
• Experience with or exposure to large language models (LLMs) for content generation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers to produce and maintain documentation of conceptual topics and workflows.
• Support UA materials including installed/online help, tutorials, blogs, and videos.
• Manage documentation across the SDLC and ensure release alignment.
• Work with product and marketing teams to ensure consistent UX across content.
• Evaluate AI-generated drafts to ensure accuracy and clarity.
